Trip price is based upon a minimum of 15 travelers. A limited number of double rooms (separate beds) are available, and pricing is based upon remaining availability.  Receipt of registration and deposit prior to the deposit date will confirm space and contracted pricing above. After this date, contracted pricing may change due to increase in costs associated with transportation, lodging, or other associated costs. Please contact Academic Expeditions for updated pricing if an extension is needed. 

Price is all inclusive and includes (Academic Expeditions agrees to provide each of the following goods and services for the duration of the tour to each participant traveling with The Native Plant Center at Westchester Community College):      

  • Professional General Liability and Errors and Omissions Insurance Policy ($5,000,000)
  • Deluxe motor coach transportation with driver and all transfers (3 days)
  • Round trip Ferry (Woods Hole – Vineyard Haven), including Motorcoach transit on ferry.
  • Premium accommodations (2 nights)- Vineyard Square Hotel, Edgartown, Martha’s Vineyard (Note, only 5 Double Rooms are available with separate beds. All other rooms are either Single or Double-sharing the same bed)
  • Custom designed itinerary
  • Entrance and local guide fees to all program sites, garden tours and day/evening activities: Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, Martha’s Vineyard driving tour, Felix Neck Preserve, Polly Hill Arboretum, Private Garden Visit TBD, Heritage Museum & Gardens
  • Full time Professional Academic Expeditions tour leader – Hannah Feldberg Dubin
  • All supplemental guiding services: Local step-on guide for half-day tour of Martha’s Vineyard and local on-site docents
  • Meals as stated in the Itinerary (2 Continental Breakfast at Hotel, 3 Lunch, 1 Dinner)
  • All taxes
  • All gratuities (tour leader and driver included)
  • 24 Hour emergency access number
  • Optional Comprehensive Accident, Medical, Liability, and Travel Protection/Cancellation/Interruption Insurance($29 extra)
  • Optional Cancel for any Reason Insurance ($49 extra: cancel up to 48 hours prior to departure and receive 75% refund)

Day 1: Tuesday, June 3
Depart 8:00am Westchester Community College, Meet AEI staff: Hannah Feldberg Dubin. Transportation: Gunther Motorcoach
Arrive 12:00pm Woods Hole Lunch: Landfall Restaurant. 1:00pm Woods Hole Oceanoraphic Institution's Exhibit Center (Guided overview and exhibit of the work of WHOI)
Depart by Ferry to Martha’s Vineyard 3:45pm Woods Hole – Vineyard Haven
4:30pm Check in to Vineyard Square Hotel, a charming centrally located hotel in Edgartown
6:00pm “Nancy’s” Restaurant
Day 2: Wednesday, June 4
Continental Breakfast at HotelMorning 9:30 am: Guided Tour of Martha’s Vineyard's history, famous homes and gingerbread cottages (step on guide provided by MV Island Tours)
Afternoon TBD Lunch & 1:00pm Felix Neck (A tour of the nature preserve and efforts of the Massachusetts Audubon)
3:30pm Polly Hill Arboretum (Guided Tour)
5:00pm Return to Hotel to Relax and Change
Dinner 7:00pm On Own in Edgartown, Return to Hotel at your Leisure
Day 3: Thursday, April 4
Continental Breakfast at Hotel.  8:30am: Load luggage and Depart Hotel
Morning 9:00 Private Garden Visit TBD
Depart by Ferry to Woods Hole 10:45am Vineyard Haven - Woods Hole
Lunch 11:30am–12:30pm TBD in Woods Hole
Afternoon 1:00pm Heritage Museum and Gardens, Guided Gardens Tour
Depart 3:30pm for Valhalla, NY. Arrive 7:00pm WCC
