Brigid grew up in the Brookland neighborhood of Washington D.C. She is a 1984 graduate of the International Travel Training School and has been involved with various travel agencies for over twenty years. Brigid took a brief hiatus to explore nursing school but this was interrupted when she met, fell in love and married Chet Rhodes; Academic Expeditions’ Director of Educational Programming. They have a healthy and beautiful son, Wyatt Rhodes, who runs their lives in Central Virginia.
